Jefferson to Toccoa,
Town by Town
We keep our territory tight so every property gets a crew that knows the local soil, slopes, and weather, and can be back on site quickly when you need us.
Small Territory, Close Attention
A lot of landscape companies chase work across half the state. We'd rather know our corner of it well. Our service area runs from the fast-growing I-85 corridor around Jefferson and Commerce up through Banks County and the foothills of Habersham, east to Lake Hartwell country around Lavonia and Royston, and north to Toccoa and Stephens County.
That focus pays off on every job. Our crews know that a new subdivision in Jackson County probably has compacted fill and rushed final grades, that a hillside lot in Clarkesville needs a different wall than a flat one in Commerce, and that a lake home near Lavonia needs runoff kept out of the water. We bring that local knowledge to each property, along with the family-owned accountability the Hanco name has carried here since 2002.

What We See in Each Community
Every town has its own mix of soil, slope, and property types. Here's what our crews run into most often.
Landscaping in Toccoa
Our home base. Older in-town homes with mature trees and tired beds, foothill lots below Currahee Mountain with real slope, and rural acreage. Retaining walls, drainage, and bed renovations are the most common projects here.
Schedule in ToccoaLandscaping in Eastanollee & Avalon
Rural homes and small farms with long driveways, open turf, and drainage crossings. Driveway culverts, large-area mowing, and pasture-edge weed control are frequent requests.
Schedule in Stephens CountyLandscaping in Lavonia
Lake Hartwell homes where runoff and erosion matter as much as curb appeal, plus the I-85 commercial corridor. Shoreline-side erosion control, rock work, and commercial grounds contracts.
Schedule in LavoniaLandscaping in Carnesville & Royston
Small-town homes, churches, and county facilities with established lawns. Weed control programs, shrub renovations, and seasonal cleanups lead the work here.
Schedule in Franklin CountyLandscaping in Homer
The Banks County seat, with rural homes, farms, and public buildings. Drainage on rolling clay, gravel driveways and pads, and pre-emergent programs for large lawns.
Schedule in HomerLandscaping at Banks Crossing
Retail, restaurants, and hospitality along I-85. Parking lot islands, entrance beds, and curb-line weed control where first impressions are everything.
Request a Commercial BidLandscaping in Maysville
Straddling two counties, with older homes in town and newer builds outside it. Sod installs, drainage corrections, and full-service lawn programs are typical.
Schedule in MaysvilleLandscaping in Jefferson
One of the fastest-growing towns in our area. New subdivisions with builder-grade landscapes, compacted fill, and drainage that wasn't finished right. Landscape upgrades, French drains, sod, and weed control for new lawns.
Schedule in JeffersonLandscaping in Commerce
A mix of historic homes near downtown and commercial properties along the I-85 corridor. Bed renovations and hardscape for homeowners, grounds contracts and parking lot work for businesses.
Schedule in CommerceLandscaping in Nicholson, Arcade & Pendergrass
Rural lots and new residential growth between Jefferson and Commerce. Grading and drainage on new builds, privacy screening, and lawn establishment.
Schedule in Jackson CountyLandscaping in Hoschton & Braselton
Planned communities and HOAs on the southwest edge of our area. Common area maintenance, entrance beds, and homeowner patio and outdoor living projects.
Schedule in HoschtonLandscaping in Cornelia
Hilly in-town lots and orchard-country properties with heavy clay. Retaining walls, terraced beds, erosion control, and drainage are the backbone of our Cornelia work.
Schedule in CorneliaLandscaping in Demorest
Neighborhoods around Piedmont University and wooded residential lots. Shade-tolerant plantings, Fescue care, and natural stone paths through wooded yards.
Schedule in DemorestLandscaping in Clarkesville
Historic homes near the square and steep, wooded lots toward the Soque River. Boulder walls, stone steps, and slope stabilization are common projects here.
Schedule in ClarkesvilleLandscaping in Baldwin, Alto & Mt. Airy
Small towns along the US-441 corridor with mixed residential and rural properties. Lawn programs, bed renovations, and gravel and drainage work.
Schedule in Habersham CountyWhat Shapes Landscapes in Our Area
Piedmont Red Clay
Dense, slow-draining clay across most of our area. It needs amending in beds, proper bases under hardscape, and drainage planning everywhere.
Foothill Slopes
From Toccoa through Clarkesville and Cornelia, many lots have serious grade. Walls, terraces, and erosion control turn slope into usable space.
Fast New Growth
Around Jefferson, Commerce, and Hoschton, new construction often comes with stripped topsoil, compacted fill, and minimal landscaping that needs real follow-through.

I don't see my town listed. Do you serve my area?
If you're between Jefferson and Toccoa or nearby, the answer is probably yes. Call and we'll let you know. For larger commercial and government projects, we travel farther.
Why don't you serve Metro Atlanta like Hanco Exterminating?
Landscape and hardscape work depends on crews being close by, for scheduling, weather delays, and follow-up. Keeping our area tight lets us give every property the attention it deserves. Hanco Exterminating serves a wider area for pest, termite, and mosquito work.
Do you charge more for properties farther away?
Pricing is based on the work and the property, not which town in our core area you're in. For projects outside our five-county core, we'll discuss any travel considerations up front.
How quickly can you come out for an estimate?
Because our area is compact, estimate visits are usually scheduled within days. Spring is our busiest season, so call early for spring installs and pre-emergent programs.
